Claire invented TIDE for migrant fishermen that will enable them to send encrypted distress signals with GPS coordinates even from remote areas, using a discreet, low-cost, waterproof transmitter incorporating GPS and a hidden camera to collect evidence of abuse, and allow them to report abuse anonymously.
A patent application was filed in the U.S. for our device. The patent application (U.S. Patent Application No. 19/299,469) is currently pending.
Showcasing my location-based emergency transmitter at the WICO World Invention Creativity Olympic, where I received a Gold Award (top 10%) and a Special Award from WIIPA in recognition of the device’s innovation and social impact.
Receiving the Internationally Outstanding Inventors Award Certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presented by the National Research Council of Thailand, in recognition of my invention the “Transmitter forImmediate Distress & Emergency” at the 11th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2025).
