Advocacy for industry-wide accountability
The MJC is raising awareness with companies and consumers in an effort to establish an adoption of either new laws or internal guidelines requiring traceability and accountability across all seafood and petfood companies.
Interviewing migrant workers at CP Foods to gather their perspectives on labor rights and personal workplace experiences, with the goal of collaboratively identifying pathways to improve current conditions and promote more ethical labor practices.
I conducted a field test of the emergency transmitter with Stella Maris Seafarers Center, an organization in Songkhla, Thailand, that works with migrants vulnerable to labour exploitation in the Thai fishing industry. I went aboard vessels supporting migrant fishers, with pilot aiming to evaluate real-world usability and gather feedback to refine the device for offshore safety and accessibility. Participating in the ESG Risk Workshop hosted by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), where we explored the framework for enterprise risk management, including governance, strategy, performance, and communication, as a tool for embedding environmental, social, and governance principles into sustainable business practices.
I have written and submitted a final report in the Human Rights & Business Ethics Implementation Bootcamp 2025, hosted by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), on July 7 and 29, where I explored how companies can integrate human rights and ethical practices into business operations. I took notes and wrote a summary report focusing on HRDD (Human Rights Due Diligence) risk. As part of the program, I am preparing a written report that includes an introduction, summaries of both events, and key takeaways with recommendations.
